Clean Water

Access to clean water is a basic human need, yet many communities still face daily struggles without it. We help by drilling wells that provide safe, reliable water and reduce the risk of waterborne illness.

Access to clean water is still one of the most pressing challenges for rural areas of Vietnam. Before the trip, we hosted community fundraising events — like spike ball and volleyball tournaments — and reached out to our personal networks for donations. Every dollar we raised brought us one step closer to funding new wells.

Our resources were brought to Quang Nam, within central Vietnam. We collaborated closely with local engineers, city officials, and residents to plan safe, sustainable wells. We helped draft permit applications, reviewed potential drilling sites, and learned firsthand how complex and delicate the process can be.

Not everything went as planned. One of our wells initially failed to reach a stable water source. To overcome this setback, we worked alongside local residents to locate a better site and successfully completed the project. In the end, we built three working wells, providing clean water for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining daily life.

This experience taught us that meaningful impact takes patience, humility, and trust. Every well represents not just water, but resilience — a shared belief that progress is possible when we work together.
