Founder
Ivan Hua founded Root of Resilience at 17 years old in Huntington Beach, California, with a vision to improve the lives of vulnerable communities around the world. Driven by a passion for service and innovation, he has led projects ranging from drilling wells in Vietnam to organizing supply drives that support families in need. Ivan believes that lasting change begins with small, practical actions—whether it’s expanding access to clean water, strengthening food security, or providing financial support. Beyond his nonprofit work, he is a student, athlete, and mentor who hopes to continue building solutions that empower others and create sustainable impact.

Root of Resilience is powered by a dedicated group of community members who share a commitment to creating meaningful change. Together, the team organizes supply drives, helps coordinate well-building projects, and raises funds to support vulnerable families. Each member brings unique strengths, but all are united by the belief that small actions can grow into lasting resilience for communities across the world.
