Making masks for healthcare workers on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic
When the pandemic began, we kept hearing stories of healthcare workers reusing masks and families searching desperately for basic protection. Hospitals were short on PPE, and even everyday people struggled to find something safe to wear outside. We wanted to help in any way we could — so we gathered donations, learned to sew, and began creating cloth masks for daily use. What started as a small act of care quickly grew into a community effort. We sold masks to friends and family to raise funds, while donating hundreds more to local hospitals and schools to support safe in-person learning.
